Founder's Selection

"During the mid-to-late 1970s, Omega’s De Ville collection served as a playground for geometric case design and ultra-thin engineering. As the brand adapted to the quartz revolution, it focused on creating sleek, avant-garde dress watches that departed from traditional round shapes, leaning into Art Deco-inspired architecture and refined proportions.

Reference 591.0020 is defined by its distinctive multi-tiered "stepped" bezel, which adds dimensional depth and architectural framing to the dial. At its heart is the in-house Omega Caliber 1350, an early ultra-thin quartz movement developed in 1976 that eliminated the traditional crown-pulling setting mechanism in favor of a clean, push-button crown system. Encased in a slim, rectangular silhouette, it captures the technical innovation and elevated design spirit of late-1970s Omega dress watchmaking."
